The first
Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft, 9V-SMA that ordered by Singapore Airlines did its
first test flight. It readies for delivery in the coming weeks.
Singapore Airlines is the flag-carrier airline of Singapore. It has 109 aircraft as January 2016. Singapore Airlines operates all-wide body aircraft. Singapore Airlines makes 67 orders of Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft, to replace its aging Airbus A330-300, Boeing 777-200, and Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. It will be the second Asian airline to operate Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft.
Singapore
Airlines will receive it first Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft in February 2016,
with the first destination to . The orders are including seven 'ULR' (Ultra
Long-Range) variant, for the return of Ultra Long-Haul Route, from Singapore to
Newark and Los Angeles without stopover. This route will be return in
2018.
The first regular services of Airbus A350-900 XWB of Singapore Airlines scheduled to begin in April 2016, commencing flights between Singapore and Amsterdam.
