KLM
Cityhopper, the subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the flag carrier
airline of Netherlands launches eighty biofuel flights on Amsterdam-Oslo route.
This route is operated by Embraer E190 aircraft. KLM Cityhopper uses 100%
Roundtable on Sustainable Materials (RSB) certified camelina oil and in full
compliance with European Union (EU).
But now, the biggest challenge for the biofuel is the price gap between the biofuel price and fossil jet fuel. Biofuel is important for the future of aviation. For the last decades, global warming becomes a big problem for the environment. So, biofuel maybe the better solution for aviation.
