Korean Air's Boeing 777-300 Suffered Engine Fire At Tokyo-Haneda International Airport

HL7534, a Boeing 777-300 aircraft of Korean Air suffered engine fire at the time when it was taxiing at Tokyo-Haneda International Airport as flight KE2708 on May 27, 2016. Flames were detected in one of the Boeing 777-300's Pratt & Whitney PW4090 engines before the aircraft departed to Seoul-Gimpo International Airport. The takeoff was canceled immediately after the fire detected, luckily all 302 passengers and 18 crews on board were evacuated safely. The emergency vehicles came immediately and sprayed the aircraft with foam. The aircraft, HL7534, is an 18,3 years old Boeing 777-300. It was being delivered to Korean Air on December 28, 1999. It mainly operated Korean Air's high-density regional and short until medium-haul international routes.

EgyptAir flight 804 was operated by an Airbus A320-200, registered as SU-GCC. Initially, it would fly a routine passenger flight from Paris to Cairo on May 19, 2016. There were 56 passengers and 10 crews aboard flight MS804. Flight 804 departed from Charles de Gaulle International Airport at 23:09, Paris time (UTC +2). The flight to Cairo would take four hours. It was flying at 37,000 feet (11,000 meters) and it disappeared 280 kilometers north of the Egyptian Coast at 02:30 A.M, local time. There was no any emergency call received by the Air Traffic Controller. The aircraft reported making 90 degrees bank to the left, and then 360 degrees circle to the right while it dropped from 37,000 feet to 15,000 feet.

There were many speculations if the plane was destroyed by a terrorist bomb, as the accident linked to the November 2015 Paris Attack and the bombing of Metrojet flight 9268. Two months, before the crash of flight 804, the another Airbus A320-200 of EgyptAir was hijacked, but all people on board were saved. But unlike the crash of Metrojet flight 9268, when an Islamic extremist group claimed to be responsible for the crash of the plane immediately, there was no claim from any extremist group.
