A Boeing 737-900ER of Lion Air, PK-LFG was overran from the runway at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, Indonesia on Saturday, 20 February 2016 when operated flight JT263 from Balikpapan to Surabaya. The plane was overran when tried to land at 11.30 A.M. The weather was bad. At the time, heavy rain and strong wind occurred in Surabaya.

There were 215 people on board flight 263. But, there were no fatalities
or injuries. The plane suffered minor damages. Juanda International Airport was
closed for a while and some flights were diverted to the other airport. Some flights
that would depart at the time were delayed.
Around 12:45 P.M, National Transportation Committee (NTSC/KNKT) was successfully
evacuating the body of the plane. But, the airport was still closed until 3.30 P.M

PK-LFG was the second Boeing 737-900ER aircraft delivered to Lion Air,
the launch customer of the type. Its first flight was on 1 September 2006 and
delivered to Lion Air at 25 May 2007. It wears the special "Boeing Dreamliner" Livery. Now, the plane is 9,5 years old.
